My friends 17 and acts like she's 14 is that normal?

Some people mature faster than others. If she does not have any medical or mental illness going on, she is fine.

Yeah. I know people in their 20s who act like they're 6. Some people grow up. I acted like I was 40 by the time I was 10. Some people are immature, some are mature, some are young at heart and some are old souls. I don't think I've ever met anyone who has "acted their age" other than babies and very elderly people.

As I get older I have realized that age and maturity do not necessarily have to go hand in hand.
