I'm 16 years old, male, and one day i just... stopped feeling fear. i feel other emotions (Love, hate, hunger, etc.), but i can't fear anything anymore. I used to love getting scared, to feel the rush of adrenaline in my blood, but it just doesn't happen. I can watch horror movie after horror movie, then sleep like a baby. Is it possible that I've put a "cap" on my ability to fear?
don't refrain from using any psychological terms in your answer, I'm studying to be a psychologist.

The reasoning for not feeling fear during movies and the liking is because your brain has adapted to understand that it isn't real. You do still feel fear, just nothing in your current life poses any threat to you, so you won't be afraid

No. It's just that you haven't found something to be scared of. Everyone is afraid of something

Actually boys tend to lose at least some of their sense of fear in their teens, which explains why they do s many stupid and reckless things.

Fear is overcome by understanding. The awareness of fear remains, but the tools to overcome it are within your grasp. I'd say you've reached a level of maturity that permits you the confidence to know that whatever happens, it'll be alright.

There is a reason for that- your brain doesn't stop maturing until you're 25. Studies have shown that fear and risk assessment abilities are inhibited in teenagers.

I don't care to use psychological terms despite the fact I have an intense interest in psychology. But anyway, I'd be grateful if I were you, fear stops people from doing stuff and it's awesome if you don't have it
