How to tell if I have acne?

I don't know if I have acne, and my parents don't have enough money to take me to a dermatologist. I'm 13 years old and I keep getting strange bumps below my cheek and small bumps on my forehead. Is that acne or some other skin condition?

Hello ColosussSlayer194! It seems like you may be starting some early stages of acne. Acne is caused by stress, excessive production of oil for skin or hair, hormonal balance, or clogging of the pores. If you cannot afford to seek a dermatologist, simply buy a facial cleanser and exfoilater to clean your face with every day. To prevent acne from getting worse, do not use touch your face or pick at it. Also, eating healthy impacts the look and feel of your skin too. Don't forget to drink a lot of water as it helps release bad toxins! Hope I helped! Xoxo!

It could be acne. The dermatologist is usually great with helping find treatment. I don't have acne but once every few months I get one or two that make me cringe. When I was 12 I went to see my moms friend that has a private practice and she helped me :3If you do get a big one, try this stuff in an orange tube called Terminator 10! It works!

Sounds like acne. Nothing to worry about. Get some over the counter stuff or even look up natural remedies if you dont have the budget. Good luck.

if it gets something like little white dots on top after a while, it is acne.. Try putting on some rubbing alcohol, or ask your primery doctor for some doxycycline hyclate to stop it.. Good Luck, and feel free to ask me for more tips.. I struggled a lot with acne as a kid..

Hormone changes causes the acne, Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne; however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress doesn't cause acne, but stress can make it worse.
