Does spicy food really make holes in your stomach?

I really like foods that are spicy, including spicy snacks like Flaming Hot Fries, Takis, etc. But my friends always warn me about eating to much because they say that spicy food can cause 'ulcers' aka holes in my stomach. So I did a little research to see if they were telling the truth, but some websites say it's true and others say it's false, and I just don't know which one to believe and which one to not believe.

Point be made, is it true that spicy food can cause ulcers/holes in your stomach? Why or why not?

No, spicy food is actually good for you. The lining of your stomach is pretty tough. Ulcers are usually caused by bacteria or too much acid. Not by spicy food.

No way! They would have banned takes if that was the case (says while eating takis)

No. If it did, I'm sure there wouldn't be any spicy food anymore. That would be horrible.

If you have an ulcer, spicy food will make it worse (more painful). Spicy foods doesn't cause ulcers. Most ulcers are caused by a bacteria.
