You turn into a zombie exactly one year later.JK Why don't you ask your doctor? Or, if you were in a park, I'm sure a ranger would know.

There are no recorded long-term effects to a scorpion bite. The effects of the scorpion bite are temporary paralysis, where one may lose function of his or her limb until the sting wears off. However, some scorpion types like the Leiurus quinquestriatus have poisonous venom and may cause death to children and elderly people in case they bite them. My mother was stung by one of the more dangerous ones. I'll have to ask her if she was told about the possibility of heart damage.

The above answer is excellent. My uncle was bitten by one and although he recovered the doctor kept having him come back for heart tests due to the severity of the bite. It damaged his heart permantely.
