That seems like malpractice! He can't just start the work and leave you untreated can he? He needs to give you a reason and refer you to someone who can finish the work. Unless you did something to cause him to stop seeing you? If you did something to break the policy then he can opt to stop seeing you. He should still refer you to someone else though but if you did something wrong he probably doesn't have to. He can't just stop for absolutely no reason though. Did you do something?

I suppose it would depend on the reason.

Much would depend on why he "dropped" it. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances.

Good luck suing for malpractice, Drs. have insurance for malpractice, you won't even deal with him, you'll deal with a team of high profile attorneys that work for the insurance company. They will wrap the case up in so much red tape, you'll physically run out of money to pay your attorney, long before a court date ever gets set. They drag those cases out for several years hoping you'll get sick of it and settle out of court for far less than what you've shelled out for your own attorneys fees. They have got that system figured out, and most people can't afford to fight them.

If there was no good reason and did not make it matter in the check I guess you could.
