Yes. When you put your weight down, the earth pushes back. Otherwise you would go right through or push the earth out of its orbit.

Yes. It's called gravity. That's why you have to make an effort, however slight, to take a step.

When you exert force on the earth, the earth exerts an equal amount of force in the opposite direction. This is demonstrated in Newton's 3rd law of motion. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&gs_nf=3&qe=bmV3dG9uJ3MgM3JkIGxhdyA&qesig=XA0UrXW7IQ3RUZyps89Tbw&pkc=AFgZ2tnPaV0zxK6DJfNG7d0lgnw0kuGrEzCP7G5k7xIK-2IOzwlxw_ca9bxqAFAlW-1IfteEXQMm7kQC0pxZjJrQa_mNlofbaA&cp=17&gs_id=1u&xhr=t&q=newton's+3rd+law+of+motion&pf=p&tbo=d&sclient=psy-ab&oq=newton's+3rd+law+&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=2569ab66937cfc8&bpcl=38897761&biw=1084&bih=620

I'm a little confused so don't get offended but :if the Earth is exerting an equal force on your foot and it has a larger mass it would push you off the surface but then gravity pulls you back? or is it just that the amount of force exerted by your foot so minuscule that the Earth barely pushes you back?
