why do people not realize that if we don't stop what were doing, then we're gonna end up like the Romans?

We believe ourselves to be invincible, or that since we are from modern times, with far more advanced knowledge, technology and learnedness and the Romans are in the ancient past, without any of our obviously superior trappings, that we won't go out like they did. On the contrary, we will fall much harder than they did. We are simply unwilling to learn from history, and that will be our downfall.

I'm glad you said this- maybe more people will notice. It's a very steep slope tho, & the human race may very well be going way to fast, I think? I wish I was smart enough to make a difference- no chance! LoL! I'm still gonna keep hoping, tho.
