2012 ford escape, fuel pump shuts off after only pumping about a gallon of gas, very annoying. have you had the problem, what did you do to fix it

Insert the nuzzle with the handle upside down, it helps the gas flow a little easier.

I have an older mustang and it does that if I get below 1/4 of a tank. It is because fumes build up and trigger the pumps sensor. Put the nozzle in and take it out a couple of times before pumping and pump slowly at first.
