The problems come when people inhale large amounts over a short period of time or directly inhale it from a pressurized tank. Remember the helium is replacing the oxygen you would normally inhale, thus depriving your brain and other vital organs of oxygen. This can lead to brain damage stroke or death. Excessive inhalation of helium can be dangerous. If you just do it once or twice you fine though
